I prefer my nails to be short because i feel uncomfortable typing in a computer with long nail. I experienced growing a nail in my forefinger its length reach 1.5 inch then it cuts automatically.

I prefer to be short all the time and I can't bear them long just for a little bit, don't know why and makes me feel uncomfortable. So, always keeping my nails short and clean.

I have short nails. I don't want to have long nails, it's very dirty.

I keep my nails fairly short, no longer than the tips of my fingers. I learned how to type back in the days when I never had fingernails (former nail biter), and so now I can't type at all if my fingernails extend off the tips of my fingers. I would love to have them a little longer, but I would have to re-teach myself how to type with the pads of my fingers instead of the tips of my fingers. :(

I've always grown my nails. Mine are long and strong, and I actually find that they help in my typing.

Short fingernails - am a man and I don't have that strange preference for long nails that woman seem to have.
I can't seem to understand the purpose of long fingernails.

I like my nails short. When they are long, I tend to accidently scratch myself or someone else. I work with small children, so I'm always careful to keep my nails short so I don't accidently hurt them.

Personally, I love long nails! I bit my nails for years (well into high school), and finally quit bitting them. I've worn them long for years. When I had my now 17 year old son, my natural nails were about 1 1/2 inches long - all ten of them. I worked on a computer at the time, as a data entry clerk. Out of 60 other clerks, I was the top in regards to production. If I remember right, I keyed about 12,000 kpm. And it was done error free. I am lucky to have strong nails, and they aren't paper thin either. I used to have people ask all the time if they were mine - and my husband would always beat me to the punch with, "Yep, they are real!". People used to assume that since my nails were so long, that I was unable to do housework, I had a maid! Like I could ever afford a maid (I wish). LOL. Hugs!
