A website for my band and more.

Hello, I'm intersted in opening a website, I wanted at first for it to be about my band but we didn't have time to meet recently so I started reviewing music albums.
My question to you is this, would you be interested in a website the reviews music albums AND tries to promote a band? or is it too mixed?

You can do both. You don't want to go to narrow or to strict. Only doing one and your focus is to narrow. People always appreciate reviews, so that is good. But, you can also do promotion only thing is you will want to appear open. You don't want your promotion to appear to be agenda driven(just promoting your band/or promotion in general); And one way to guard from doing that is to mix your site and add different features or sections for the readers.
