Recording favorite shows.....

Do you record or TiVo some of your favorite shows so you can watch them later when you have time? During the day I have 3 shows that record. The View, Montel, Oprah. I have it set so the 3 of them record everyday. I watch them at night or on the weekends when I have time. My husband and I also record a couple of shows that we like to watch together. We record....The Shield, 2 And a Half Men, The George Lopez show, and a couple others. We usually watch 1 or 2 of the recorded shows while we're eating dinner or later in the evening when there's nothing good on tv. It's nice to be able to zoom through the commercials and watch just the shows.

Usually, I will DVR some shows, but that's only if I know I am going to be gone for them. Most of the time, it's not too hard for me to be home for them, so it's not a big deal. If there is an important event or important episode (like a season finale), will make sure to record it in case something happens. For instance, I recorded 'Last Comic Standing' last night because I was worried we might be out of the house. Usually, just those kinds of events are what it takes for me to DVR a show. Or maybe if a movie is coming on HBO and I haven't seen it yet.

I was flipping around the channels last night and caught part of Last Comic Standing. That show is funny! I wish I had started watching it sooner. I like comedy.

That was the season premiere of Last Comic Standing. Tune in every Wednesday. It is a hilarious show, especially when they get down to the really good comics.

I have so many shows on my DVR right now, it is on overload! For shows that are currently active (not in rerun for the summer) I have American Inventor, Last comic standing, The next best thing, and Sunset Tan. Once Design Star starts on HGTV, I will be adding that one as well. I also have my regular year round shows that are taping: What's with that house, Color Splash, If walls could talk, Flip this House.... I'm sure there are a couple more I am missing! I was taping American Idol, Survivor, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, but since they are either done for a while or on rerun, I am not taping right now. I love DVR!

My DVR is on overload also. My husband laughs at me cause I have like 5 or 6 pages full of my three daily shows. I tell him "they aren't going anywhere". I just take my time and watch them when I can.

Where we work third shift and sleep in the afternoon we recorded all our shows. Now that this year we'll be on first shift I'm not sure how much we'll actually record or actually watch. Knowing us and how much we hate commercials we'll probably still record the shows just so we can fast forward the commercials. LOL I imagine though some shows will be recorded - like the ones I watch only and those that come on different channels at the same time others are playing too. Like on Tuesdays he records ECW and also we've got Law & Order SVU on at the same time. I'm thankful that our DVR recorder will record two shows at once.

Yep- we have digital cable so it’s called DVR for us- I am recording Days of our lives everyday forever- I watch them on the weekends or at night if I have time- I think it is perfect because a lot of times there will be 2 things we want to watch- so we set the DVR and watch it later- I always had Lost and Jericho on- in case I was late getting home or in case I fell asleep- I didn’t want to miss a thing- My daughter records a lot of Disney movies- she was a pro and showed me how to use the darn thing- LOL We also have Kyle XY and Hannah Montana- I can’t believe how many times Hannah Montana is on throughout the day- I think it was a perfect invention! And it’s only $5 more a month!

I do this often. When the new television season starts I will be taping all kinds of show to watch later. I like to skip all the commercial when I tape programs. I do not tape in the summer because I don't usually like reruns. I like to watch dvd movies all summer. My mom always tapes her soap opra when we are out shopping. She has watched her soap opra for over thirty years and I don't think she has ever missed one episode.

It's been a while since I've recorded any shows. I'm usually around to catch the Oprah show, and there aren't many other shows that I care to watch.

I remember when I was in my teenage years when me and my friends got addicted to an anime called Dragon Ball Z, he often recorded it for me because that cartoon show was being played in time slot that I was in school. So whenever I got home I rush to their house and watch that cartoon series.

I use to record my favorite shows, but I really do not have any favorite shows any more. I basically just watch the news. I like Oprah, but I have not watch her show in months.

I wish I had something to record with--err, then again I don't have tv at the moment as it is, so guess it doesn't matter lol *sniffle*. My mom does the same thing, though, only with shows like the Closer, Heroes and the lot. She's trying to convince my brother to get her a TiVo for x-mas (he gets major discounts), so I'm sure she'll go even more crazy than she already does lol. I swear, every time I call, the woman's watching something recorded. Now if only that didn't make me jealous hehe.

We have a whole bunch of shows set to record just in case we aren't home to watch them. Also, some of our favorite shows are on at the same time, so we watch one while it records the other. I'd rather Have something record that we are home to watch than to accidently miss a show because we weren't home to watch something.

I haven't recorded a show in years. I am not sure I could even set me up my system to record a show to be honest with you. There aren't any shows on television that I feel are important enough for me to make sure that I watch. I figure I can see them in reruns later if I want to. There are shows that I love to watch if I remember that they are on but if I forget then I don't worry about it.

I don't really do any recording of shows. But I may download them instead if I find them in any internet sites.

I don't own a TiVo, but I probably wouldn't record anything anyway. Very seldomly I will record on VCR a show I watch. If it's not a season finale or series finale, I figure I can catch up next week. Or sometimes I watch the episodes online if available. There is nothing I watch in the daytime, and very few shows I watch in the evening that I can't miss. Sure, I watch shows, but some of them it really doesn't matter if I miss or not.

Yeap! We do this. We have a recorder box, and I record my favorites in case I miss them (and if I watch them while they are on, I just delete the recording). I record American Idol when it's on, Hells Kitchen, So you think you can dance, House, CSI and Law and Order. I think that's pretty much it? I like being able to FFW thru the commercials too!

I do not like recording TV programs. I just watch them once and do not bother gain. After all there are other programs which one has to care for. There are so many others that all of them are competing for your attention. One has to be an active viewer of programs.

Hi dear, I also have a habit of recording the TV programs. Latest i have recorded a news. That news have an importance also its nothing but i have included in it.. Once I along with my friends going to ground through a pocket road. And we saw a special type of snake. And its name was viper. Not a small one but a huge size. We get feared but we desire to catch it. For that some of my friends take stick other get ready to attack with huge stones..... We desired to catch without killing. But the snake became violent. So we change our opinion and desire to kill. The order is came from one friend, at the time guys with stones start attacking. The snake try to run away. But friends with stick bits and killed. About one and half hour needed for the whole process. The news reporters and other media reporters came with camera. We pose for camera with that snake in hand...... And this news came in channel and i recorded it. Just for a fun........ Thats all dear...... Thank you.......
