How to meet a musician/celebrity...

I am curious to see how people go about meeting their favorite musician if you attend one of their concerts.
I will be going to a Marilyn Manson concert next month, and I want to meet him in the worst way. (well, probably not the worst way...but its pretty bad) Anyways, I don't want an autograph or picture... I want to talk to him, actually sit and have a conversation with him. He fascinates me. I love listening to what he has to say and I just have an all around liking for him.
So what do you all suggest...? If anything....

post at their fan forums, make yourself known to the meet & greet managers.If you can't do this you can always go early and wait near the stage door, or where the tour bus will arrive, etc.Sometimes all it takes is to ask, and see what happens,just be confident!

Since you have a little bit of time, you can also listen for radio contests.
