Ever had a car in a car show?

Saturday of this weekend my boyfriend and I attended the Alberta All British Motor Meet located near the flower and plant conservatory here in Edmonton. We had my boyfriend's DeLorean, a bit of a stretch since it was manufactured in Dunmurray, Ireland (still the UK, right?) and his '04 Mini Cooper, although we didn't enter it. A virtual plethora of Triumphs, MGs (the "T" series was featured), Land Rovers, Morgans, Lotuses, Minis and other British vehicles were there. I'm a bit of a Brit sports car nut, so I was in my glory. We had a blast, and since it was very low-key, casual and the community is fairly tightly knit, we felt confident enough to leave the car, go have lunch and wander the conservatory looking at plants for an hour or so. We left before they had the awards ceremony since the weather looked to be making a turn for the worse, but it was a lot of fun, and being a long-time dog show nut it was nice to see him have his chance to compete and shine. What about you?

My father in law has a 48 ford and he puts it in car shows. They are very leary of leaving it as people tend to touch when the owners are not around. I know that the car club is a very close group of friends. He has won prizes for his car also.
