anyone else notice all the safey anti-spaming procedures myspace is putting up? I personally like the REPORT AS SPAM button they have on friend requests now...i was waiting for something like that. i'm always getting those spam friend requests and it does get irritating. i don't like to put my profiles on private because i do do some business through myspace as well. you guys like thenew changes myspace is making to combat the war on spam?

I really do applaud the effort, but it's just so hard to regulate every little thing. And there's always gonna be someone out there spamming, and phishing. But it's a step in the right direction, I'm so tired of seeing crap bulletins and comments pop up from my friends...

I report all the spam that I get from members but that doesn't seem to do anything. Everyday the same people are sending out the same stuff. I know two of the people that are "sending it"; their accounts were hi-jacked and it was reported to them that their accounts were stolen. Even so, MySpace doesn't really seem to care, I think they put those links there just to make people happy.

i think the opposite, i think they really do care but of course keeping up with all these people spamming. and the phishing, that can be stopped if people were well educated about phishing and know how it works and know how to stop it. i've seen a few fake login pages as well. its kind of amusing. there are so many phishing scams out there...i've gotten 2-3 for paypal as well, they even set up an email address to send those fake paypal letters so that can try to track it. myspace has won several lawsuits against well known spammers who spammed on myspace. i think they care a lot.

I'm so happy they got that feature as well. I'm so sick of getting friend requests for people I don't know or bands I hate or whatever. I'm just shocked that they didn't have this before!

i am so happy they finally got something like this i have been wait for it for years. i am so sick of people sending me friend request of people don't know and before when i denied their friend request they kept on sending me the same thing until i accepted.
