Where do you belong?

June 14, 2007 8:58pm CST
No, No I haven't lost it. I'm just wondering where it is you belong? (or in another way feel at home) Please don't count your home, anything else except that place because you would already belong there and it would be much point me asking. hehe :smile Where do I belong? Well I generally feel I belong by the side of my family. (my wife and son) but if I counted an actual place it would be mylot (when I'm happy) and probably Vernon park which is a park 40+ minutes away that my parents took me. So I naturally feel I belong there. (when I am) hehe ~Joey Where do you belong?

I belong at my retreat, I go there four times a year, I meet up with friends, relax, chill out, have massage and feel totally refreshed, destressed and it's away from my housemate. I am welcomed with open arms and I can be truly myself, I am a totally different person, believe me NO ONE on this site would know it's the same Brian. My depression is ZERO and it's like I take on a totally different persona!

The first place that I can think of is besides my family. And I feel really at home when I visit my in-laws' house. So, I think I belong there as well.

Where do I belong? Probably in Moscow – in Red Square …………….. my Grandmother was born in Moscow, and I do feel very peaceful and at home there, especially when it's snowing and everything is covered in a blanket of white. Also – I guess it probably sounds clichéd, but wherever my man is because I always feel safe and secure as long as he is with me.

I don't know that I belong anywhere on this earth. It seems I have "fortitude" in this life and making the best I can of it. My dreams were to marry and have children. Those dreams did not become. I don't feel I belong with anyone now and other than my home/haven in the country don't know there's anyplace else for me to be. I left a place I loved for my safety and don't see going back there, even though there are still people I love there. I have great memories up north in Canada but only as a place to visit. I really can't answer this and I really wish I could.

Not counting family and my current home, I think I could belong in northern Michigan, perhaps in a small town on Lake Huron. I like the rustic atmosphere of northern Michigan and would feel right at home. It is more laid back and much easier to get into nature than in the city areas. I once built a small cabin in the woods up there and no longer have it, but I do miss being up there. It is almost like another world to me. There are many other northern states in the US that have a similar feel for me. Otherwise I woukld like to be in the great West of America. But somehow, I don't know how attatched I could become or if I could get past the point of feeling like a stranger.

What happened to me is so much worse than being fined...they took it away from me and for almost two years now, I have not been able to get it...because they suspect the first owner of the car whom I bought it from did not paid the import duties which is quite expensive...but the cops said they will investigate the matter but until now they have no findings so I got so mad becasue I am already broke I really need the money so I reported the matter to their regional commander and he ordered his men that they resolve the issue of ther investigation that have set a deadline.

Good question. I have traveled widely and have lived, for more than 2 years each, in several countries. I guess I belong to myself, there is no other place. Now, who do I belong to? certainly to my wife and children - ans, sorry, I forgot - the Internet.
