Paris Hilton

I find it pathetic that many people took the time to write to the sheriff in the Paris case to say that they were angry she got out of jail early a few days ago. These people would not take the time to write her some encouraging words but they take time to try and hurt her. Why? If they or their children got caught up on a DUI they would argue that they should be able to serve their time on house arrest because a DUI is not a dangerous crime but a regulatory infraction. It is ok to dislike someone but it isn't right to wish bad upon someone else. We all know most people in jail are horrible and would love to hurt someone with the status of Ms. Hilton just for 15 seconds of fame. She needs to be home or at least left in solitary for her safety. Case closed. Any thoughts? Please be civil, unlike many of the letters written to the sheriff involved with the Hilton case. The letters can be read at thesmokinggun.com. You can see just how civil "civilized" America really is.

I knew she wasn't going to serve her full sentence I just didn't see her staying in like a normal person would have to. I do think its rediculous for people to waste their time writing letters but it is rediculous how celebrities get treated like gods while us normal people gotta do the time to the fullest if we did the crime.

I don't understand why the big hoo-hah about Paris Hilton's case. It is not as if she had killed somebody in the process... I think everything has blown out of proportion. I am not a fan of Paris however, I think people should not try to make things worst for others.....

I agree that no one should get special treatment, but I also believe that people shouldn't be vulgar and/or outright mean. I also believe that in her case even if it was not a celeb who did what she did, that person should be given house arrest. For such a small infraction I doubt anyone would attempt to run. Huh, what do you think?

Yes, I would agree with you. Whether they are celebs or ordinary folks like us, house arrest should suffice... as it is, the prison is already overcrowded.... People who has to go through minor jail sentence should be given house arrest instead.. : By the way, thanks for denoting my response as best response!!
