Personally I hate mopping the floor. It's not that hard to do. But, since we have stone tile floors throughout the house, it all has to be done at least once or twice a day. And, since the stone tiles are white they show any trace of dirt or mud! It's madding. So, what do you hate most about housework?

I hate everything about housework *laughs*, I really do and I indeed feel depressed every time when I have to do it. I don't hate vacuuming the floor that much, but I definitely hate the laundry (the hanging up and the folding) and mopping the floor. Each time, I know I have to do any of the above, I would just get depressed. But if I don't do it, no one is going to do it for me, therefore I have no choice! Since I live alone, I don't fold the clothes anymore, I would just leave them there till I need them next time, I usually wear those those regularly during the week.

Since I got my Electrolux, I love vacumning. Actually so does my three year old. She takes me to the laundry room (where we keep the vacumn) and makes me get out the vacumn so I can do the housework. And, when I'm tired from all the work, she takes the cleaning wand away from me and tries to finish the job. She's too funny.

Please don't remind me of the ironing. I've blocked out the horror! I've dealt with my hatred of ironing by just not doing it at all. Or, at least as little as possible. Where we live T-shirts and casual clothing are standard attire, and they don't really need to be ironed. Just a quick spin in the dryer and the wrinkles fall out. It was worse though, back when my husband was in a professional sales job. I had to iron over fouty white shirts. I coped with it, by watching my soaps and ironing at the same time.

when i still live with my parents ( 5-6 years ago), i have to iron every week. i dreaded every sunday (coz it's the usual day that i ironed our clothes). i had to iron a brrel of clothes (my mom, my dad, my brother and my clothes). imagine how tiring it was for me.. hehehe luckily, every time i went home, my mother would not ask me to iron clothes.

I too hate mopping but the housework that I loathe doing is ironing. I have a mountain full of clothes that need ironing and I hate iot so much. It takes a long time for me to complete the pile and I wish all the clothes are crease free and need not be ironed!!

Mopping is still bearable. Sweeping and mopping at the most will take about an hour or two of my weekend. The chore I hate the most is ironing! Every week, almost the whole load of laundry needs to be ironed! (at least 80%) cos the both of us are working and the laundry comprises mostly of office clothes. Standing at the iron board to iron the clothes is tiring. I usually spent about 3-4 hours just to finish this chore.

Lucky for me, my husband loves to do the mopping. He will do a first layer, second layer and third layer. Something he says i don't do... go figure! He calls himself the Master of mopping. Whatever, as long as he does the mopping for me. I like doing the laundry and the ironing. The worst thing about doing housework, is, i'm allergic to dust. So for those hard to reach places that i need to clean once a fortnight, my sneezing will act up. I need a new nose! haha.. all the best to all housewives around!

Oh, I know what you mean about dust allergies! My guy says I'm just faking it, when I start dusting and sneezing, but those allergies can be painful. I have to be careful not to open a cabinet and get something off the top shelf, or I get a cascade of dust in my face. Then my sinuses hurt all day. Currently I'm using an Electrolux with Arm and Hammer Hepa filter Bags (available online or at any Walmart). They keep the dust from blowing back out into the air and getting into your lungs. I picked up my electrolux at a second hand shop. If you wanted one you could probably get one locally. Though I just saw one on Ebay for under $30. The Hepa filter bags are the real secret to keeping the dust in your house down to a minimum. Dust gets in the carpet and then stirs up into the air when someone walks over the carpet. And, then resettles on all the wood furniture in the room. And, you have to redust again! So a good vacumn is essential. I hope that information helps you with your housecleaning and dust allergies. Be well.
