Two Sides of the No-Smoking Law Coin

This quote is a little fractured but it's something like, "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. I say this because my state lobbyed to pass anti-smoking laws in all public facilities(including bars) recently. It seems that this has had disastrous effect on bar owners who are shouting about how it is hurting their business. People are traveling across state lines where they can enjoy smoking while they knock back a few beers. The second effect that has the good citizens hollering is that the sidewalks(especially outside drinking establishments), are littered with unsightly cigarette butts and they want a stop put to this. It just goes to show that you can't win.

I really don't understand how someone is expected to run a bar successfully and not allow smoking. I mean, you might as well ban bars. People who smoke (like me) are going to want to smoke if they drink.

They have to put ashtrays outside the building like it is done in California. We had the same problem here when the anti-smoking law started.
