My neighbors dogs wont leave our animals alone. They constantly come into our yard and chase and attack our two cats and our two dogs, if we put the birds cage on the front porch they will even try to get to them. They also eat all of our animals food. The problem is we live in a rural area and there is no animal control in this community. I do not know what to do, they are driving us crasy. We have spoken to their owners on numerious occasions and they seem to be oblibious to the issues at hand. I have also spoken with the sheriff,s department, and they told me that i hav every right to shoot the dogs if they come on my property and attempt to harm or cause harm to our property, us, or our animals. I do not want to have to harm these dogs because they are beautiful animals and we love all kinds of animals fences do not seem to keep these dogs out either, the will jump them or dig under them and get on to or property by any means they can find. So, if any one out there has any suggestions whatsoever, please, i am begging you to give me your advice. Any and all suggestions will be weighed to the fullest consideration. Thank you all in advance for your suggestions.

That's a nasty situation to be in. Do you have kids? I don't know how things work where you are, but here we can approach the local council, and they will get one of their workers to come and catch stray or nuisance dogs. Can you use the hose on them, or something to try to get the message through?

I live in the same area with the same situation as you have. The only suggestion is have your pets indoor animals, or put a fence all around your property. That's about it, sorry. Good luck.
