Did you ever want to be a doctor when you grew up?

I wanted to be in the medical field but I found it was too hard for me.I never had that special thing you needed to be in the field I guess.I tried a couple of times to school for it but I never made it.

I had av point when I was a kid when I wanted to be a doctor. I think the concept of helping people in need was neat to me at the time. I ended up watching a very graphic medical documentary, and then decided that it would not work out for me. Till this day I can't watch Discovery Health Channel without feeling the need to blow chunks.

I know what you mean.I don't have hard time of it if I get a cut or something but it bugs me if I see some else get hurt.

i never did before, but i sorta do now. idk, i keep changing my mind while im watching scrubs! i'll be watching a part and i'll think "Wow, i really want to get into the medical field" then a minute later i see something i dont really like, like a newbie with arms full of bedpans (yuck) and i'll go "ehh...maybe not..that'll be too nasty for me".
i cant make up my mind.

no, but i did want to be a lawyer...and then when i found out that a judge had all the better advantages, i wanted to be a judge...but then i got to talk to one and see all the books you had to read and know- so i said i had alot to learn and eventually slipped away from that want...to just respecting and knowing that i truly admire those who are police,lawyers,judges and etc...with the right moral/value that is needed to rule correctly.

I dreamed to become a doctor, a surgeon. The sight of blood or wounds never sickend me. Besides, I think I have the right character and the right hands for being a doctor.
The problem is, in Russia doctors earn too little and have to work in pretty tough conditions. Besides, doctor's diploma is very unflexible. I mean, for instance, if you are a dentist, you cannot be anything else. From this point of view my diploma of finansist will give me more choice. Hope so.
Still I do regret, I didn't try medschool :(
