I hope things are going to be okay.Try and rest as much as you can so that you can give you friends the strength they need to get better.

Yup. I have experienced that a couple times. I really want to sleep, but I can't. Then, I force myself to sleep, so that makes it worst. In the morning, I'm really tired.

Yes. When my husband was laid up with severe jaundice and his bilirubin level was not coming down, doctors in the hospital said scan should be conducted in the morning. If no complication ok otherwise he must be operated upon. But he had recent heart attack history and very weak, hence cannot take the surgery right now. Pray God no complication should be there. Then the whole of the night, I went on praying God that no complication should be there and it was so. Within one week he became ok.

I staye up all night till sunrise to watch movies or work on the computor, but make for the loss of sleep by sleeping in the afternoon. This happens quite often-it appears I have made it a habit.

This has not happenned to me till now. But once, i slept for only 1/2 hour, and that too because of tension (before an exam of a subject that didnt like and am weak). Other than that, i get to sleep for only 5 to 6 hours a day normally.

Yes, I've been awake all night more often than I can count. I even take Benadryl and Nyquil hoping it will knock me out. I've turned on a satellite radio station that plays soothing music instead of the news stations I normally try to fall asleep to. I've tried meditation and relaxation techniques with no success.

I don't stay up at night.I sleep very well.I know many people suffer from insomnia. They have trouble in getting sleep for the working pressure.People are getting more and more rich than before,at the same time we have to face more and more problems in social life.We keep thinking and thinking all the time.Even at night the nerves in our body are still excited for thinking.I think it is one of the reasons many people have troubles in sleeping at night.

i stay up all night due to work, being on line and when i cannot break my train of thought. sometimes if i have about 3 days or sleeping beyond 8 hours i stay up all night on the 4th day. if these things happen i don't normally sleep on the day but on the next night so that i can re-establish my sleeping habits

I've never stayed up all night because of insomnia. I always try to sleep if I'm not up for some other reason. If I'm awake, I do sometimes get up a half hour or more early if I haven't had much luck sleeping that night. Once in graduate school I stayed up 4 nights straight taking care of an experiment. I would have maybe 3 hours or so sometimes when I could leave it which was enough to eat and bath, etc. but not really enough to try to sleep. My only problem was my eyes starting to bother me. In fact on the day I could end the experiment I had a date to go to a movie that night. The movie ending being very boring and my date, it was a firs date so we were just watching the movie, anyway my date fell asleep and I didn't.

Yes, usually in the summers. I get insomnia and I can't sleep. I'll look at the time, and it'll be 5am, so I figure I may as well stay up. At about 8am, the delirium sets in. That's always fun :D
