I do follow my discussions, andyvish! and for indefinite, I mean for as long as there is someone responding to my discussion or comment. Email notifications has made it easy for tracking discussions that we have responded to as well as our started discussions, so it's not very difficult now. Even when this facility was not available, I still used to follow my discussions. I think it's not just to leave a discussions and someone who might be waiting that you get back to the discussion to answer their queries or comments. But I understand that every one has right to have his/her own opinion.

You are correct. email notifications help us to find when somebody responds to our discussions. Thank you.

Every single response I get I comment on it, otherwise I would feel rude that these people have taken the time to answer my discussion and get nothing for it. I wouldnt care if it was months later I would still comment.

Dear andyvish Yes I follow up to my discussions all the time -- whenever I see some response to my discussion then I add comment to it. In this way we are communicating with the other member and let him feel that he/she is not talking to a wall. Sometimes I don't add comment to a member's response to my discussion -- when I found myself out of words or the member's response is understandable to me or it is out of the discussion theme but usually I always make a point to add comment to the response to my discussion.

Hi, if you get lot of responses, and that too after some days, it might be difficlu to follow. But I feel it is always better to rate teh opinions adn mark a best response as this will also encourage people in taking part in the discussions that we start.

I follow my discussions for any time, that is as far as responses are comming in. I give away the best response only waiting for atleast one month. I cannot say if your practice is right or wrong. It is upto you to decide. Thank you andywish.

Actually i respond as i got the email alert that there is a new responder into my discussion. I make it a point to give them a (+) sign in responding that is if it contribute with my topic. If i don't have email alert for two days, i just sign up in mylot website and check my discussions by myself because sometimes i miss the email alert and see that someone had respond in it.
