Where do you swim?

Now this isn't where do you go to the beach, not asking how you tan or cruise the boardwalks and piers. In my area we have the choices of the community pool, you can join for the season or daily payment. The YMCA which has both an inside and outside pool. The last is a park that has a man made lake that has an area maintained for swimming. When I grew up the park was the place to go, but it is half an hour away and the community pool is only a 5 minute walk away from where I live. The Y you need to join, at best a monthly membership. I take my kids to the community pool to swim, though since I share time with my kids with their mother, it is cheaper to just go and pay daily when they are with me. Their cousins are members of the Y so they can go there with them on guest passes. So during the summer, where do you go to swim.

there is a beautiful lake with several public beaches near my home ...my whole family love it there...what i really like is that the beaches are separated if you have young children there is an area that is for toddlers and before they could get deep they would need to walk a long distance...the beach for older children and adults is also manned with a life guard from early morning til 9 pm ...on really hot humid days i prefer the community pool ... I don't really go swimming now. My son is only 16 months old, so he just swims in a baby pool in our front yard. I wouldn't trust him going to a real swimming pool yet, since he isn't potty trained. When I was little, my parents used to take us to the lake. We would go to a public swimming pool in a park sometimes, but not very often. And then when I was in 5th grade I think, my best friend's parents put a pool up in their yard. So I just swam at her house all the time then. My sisters would go over and swim there some, too, and by then my brother was out of school, so my parents quit taking us anywhere else.

There is a simming pool 10 minutes away from where I live. In the building there is also a gym. I don't use the pool very often, but use the gym twice a week for a cardio work-outs. :-)
