Do you like going to the doctor for a check up?

When my kids have fever and when they don't respond to medication in 24 hours I usually take them to the Emergency Room right away only to find out that it's just viral. The doctor would just tell me to give them plenty of fluids and that's it. But when I'm not feeling well or when I feel aches in my body, I don't go the the doctor, I just self medicate.
Does this happen to you?

Well my children are grown. But I myself do not go to the emergency room unless it is indeed a emergency, because it costs more than the doctor visit, and you have to wait longer, but if my doctor is not in the office I will go there. I have no problem going to the doctor if I am really ill and I know I can not take care of the problem at home. If I have a infection and need antibiotics or something like this. But I will usually wait a few days befor I go.
