Did you wash your hands?

Bathroom - Why women go to the bathroom in pairs!

We recently went on a road trip and this kind of had me wondering. When you use a restroom at a truck stop, restaurant, gas station, or whatever, do you wash your hands? What about if there are no papertowels and there isn't an air dryer? Do you wash and then shake your hands off? Rub them on your pants to dry? Also, what do you do if you're in there and there is no toilet paper?I hate having to use the bathrooms at gas stations because it seems like they often are dirty and not well stocked. I always check for toilet paper now and if there isn't any I get some from the clerk. I always wash my hands but then, sometimes, there are no papertowels and I am forced to shake them in the air and leave them damp or dry them on my pants, which isn't a good choice, either, as then you have huge, wet handprints on your pants, which isn't attractive. What do you do?

i just have my hands sanitized, my son advised me that, or after you washed i think it's fine to let it as it is, let it just dry up...and also sanitizer!!will do..it's very comfortable to use and easy to keep..as well as easy to evaporate..so no need of flapping or swinging your hands in the air..and also don't use (just an advice) handkerchief more or often use tissues, cause it is more hygienic..thanks..and i would like to add also that sanitizer/s has/have good smells..or odors..thanks..

My only problem with the sanitizers is that I can't stand the smell. They have them in every room at the Naval Hospital and when they come in and go out they have to use it. It literally makes me sick. I'm not sure what it is that is in them that makes the smell but I can't stand it. I had carried some in my purse but had to stop because I couldn't use it because of the smell.

Sometimes I wash my hands in public restrooms, but sometimes I don't. It all depends on what mood I am in and if I'm going to eat anytime soon. When there are no paper towels and no air dryer I dry my hands on my pants and when there is no toilet paper I either use paper towels so when there are none of either of those then I just drip dry.

I hate the drip dry thing! It drives me bonkers! I have to find something, even if it's papertowel. lol Luckily I usually have the diaper bag with me, so I can use baby wipes if nothing else.

Well when I use a bathroom on a trip I try not to get my hands dirty so I won't have to touch the dirty germy sink. But if I do then I get a paper towel and use it to touch the faucet and the door so I won't wash my hands for nothing. I have never been in a situation where their are no paper towels or toilet papers so I don't know what to do in a situation like that.

Yes I always wash them regardless of where I am- If I have to I will shake them dry and then use my pants- I carry napkins in the car- so usually I shake them dry and then grab a napkin- I also carry tissues in my purse just in case the bathrooms do not have toilet paper- I hate using gas station bathrooms- so I try to hold it all together- but when we are traveling you have to!

We travel a lot and this is a problem everywhere and like you said gas stations are the worst, I always carry a bottle of hand sanatizer with me in the car so if there isnt proper things in the restroom than I have it with me to use. Also have those baby wipes which are great also.

I would still always wash them. Piece of advice for road trips. Always pack toilet paper. Because you never know where you might be stopping and you know you will need it and just in case you stop somewhere where there isn't any then you will be covered. Plus that way you know the toilet paper is fresh and clean and that it hasn't been rolling around on the dirty floor.

I always bring baby wipes with me everywhere I go. that way, I can use them instead of TP if necessary, and can use them to dry my hands after I wash them. I always wash my hands after using the washroom. You never know who's used that handle last. I will use TP to dry my hands if there are no towels available

I've used baby wipes, too. Sometimes you just have to wipe the seat before you use it, as well. Like you said, ya never know who was there before you!

I feel pretty much the same way you do. I hate stopping in and finding the restroom has no supplies. It is a pain to have to go and ask the attendant for whatever supplies you need, but I end up doing it quite often. I often carry a pocket pack of Kleenex just in case, but I prefer to have the restroom stocked. I couldn't tell you how many times I have left a restroom with wet hand prints on my pants either.

Ya, i think that the only solution to dry with your pant. Or you can ask your friends for a tissue paper to dry your hand. That is what i do normally..keke. Well, i alwasy wash my hand and dry my hand with the air dryer. I feel a little disgust when some uncles don't wash their hand leave the washroom. yes, i wash my hands if i think they are dirty even when there is no hand dryer or tissue. to dry them i would just rub them together and then wait, so that they can totally dry up.

I always wash my hands no matter what. If there are no paper towels than yea I will use my pants. I don't really care if I have wet handprints on my pants. I always check for toilet paper always. And I find it comes in handy when on a road trip to take disinfectint wipes for the bathroom stops that are not as clean as others.
