That is so pretty. Thanks for shareing the picture. I don't know if it signifies anything but you were definitely lucky to have your camera handy. I never seem to have a camera when I see something really worth taking a picture of.

Oh man that is beautiful! I didn't see that here at all, this was yesterday, Friday wasn't it. That is so pretty and very neat. The only thing I can think it may be, sorry for being a bit of a negative person on this, is an extra amount of pollution in your air? Seems like when our pollution is high, I live in a valley, it tends to have an effect on the way the rays show down though the atmosphere. On high "ozone days" when they warn us to be outside as little as possible during the hottest time of the day, I have noticed a faint ring around the sun. However nothing like this, this is just too pretty.

Well from what I've read since seeing this I THINK its whats called a 22degree ring or halo and its caused by the light of the sun shining through ice crystals in certain clouds or something like that...it was the coolest thing I've ever seen (next to the Northern Lights that is LOL)

I believe its something in the air that causes that rings. They call it halo which is created by reflections and/or refractions on hexagonal ice-crystals, instead of water drops. The picture was beautiful and it makes me think how wonderful God is.....
