Will you read what happens in the end as soon as you get Book 7?

I haven't yet reserved my copy of Book 7. I thought of reserving one on Amazon.com but stopped myself because mailing the book from Amazon would mean I would get my copy later than July 21st. Right now, like so many others, I am counting the days left for the release and I don't think I can wait any longer than July 21st. lol. Sometimes, I have thought that as soon as I get hold of the book, I will go through what happens in the end and then start reading it from the beginning. But sometimes, I think that might ruin the whole thing and it's better to read from start. So, will you be able to hold your curiousity till you finish reading the book? How many days do you think it will take you to finish reading it?

Skipping work.... nah... that might not be possible for me coz I'm a mom at home :P. Maybe I would be carrying the book with me doing my routing duties reading it.

NO WAY WILL I READ THE END FIRST. I never read the end first. I always start from the begining. Even if my daughter tells me what happens I don't do it. I like to work my way to the end. LOL I think reading the end first would be like eating an icecream cone from the bottom up.LOL

If I had a daughter who would tell me what happens, I needn't read the end first. Of course, I would know what happens, so I would just keep reading from the beginning. Eating an icecream from the bottom... hmmm sounds interesting!! let me try icecream first lol...

It will only take me 2 days to read it. When I start I will not stop till I'm done.

I would rather read it from the start myself. I don't like to ruin the surprise before i read it. Although I am excited to see what is going to happen.

I thought about preordering a copy online as well, but I'd really rather just go buy it I think. Last time a Harry Potter book came out, there were people at Wal-Mart freaking out over them, but my husband said there were plenty there actually. So I think I'll just wait and have him pick me up one at work and bring it home to me when it comes out. I'm not going to read the end first. I've done that with books before, and always regretted it. I would rather the story unfold before me as the author meant for it to. However, I am sure I will read it very quickly and with as few breaks as possible! I think I will probably finish it within a day, maybe two if something really comes up.

Lucky you. Your husband will pick it up for you. I really haven't made up my mind where to buy it. Walmart is quite far from my place. And I was thinking about the crowd too. I was wondering if there will be any books left if we don't preorder. I really don't know where and how I'm going to buy it. I hadn't really bought the other books immediately after their release because I got hooked on HP rather late and hadn't read the earlier books to be waiting for the last one published. But this time, it's a different matter. My husband isn't a big fan of HP but he has consented to buy the book for me as my Birthday gift along with the movie ticket, but I can't expect him to stand in the queue for me for just a book. I have finished reading the whole series for about 5 times I think and maybe I will hold my curiosity tight not to peek at the end, till I finish reading the book from the beginning.

I like to keep the suspense going as long as possible. If I read the ending first, it would ruin the rest of the book for me.

The suspense may tempt you, but try to hold out. It will be worth it in the end.

Hope that my curiosity does not get the better of me. Hopefully I should be able to finish it from the beginning without having a peek at the end. :)

No, no, no.Of course I will not rob myself the suspense and deprive me from enjoying my own speculations, hopes and fear for the final outcome. The end of a boun I'm reading for the first time is absolutely unreachable except by labouring forward page by page like a bloodhound on its trail. I think a can do it in one day and one night, given that I may not suffer more serious distractions. Happy HP7 :)

I think so too sometimes. But I don't know if I will be able to hold my curiosity till I finish reading the whole series because I estimate at least 3 days to finish the book because I am a mother of 2 kids and the book is getting released on a weekend. So, both my kids and my husband will be at home and it's really tough trying to read with all of them around.

I have not even read a single book of Harry Potter myself though I would love too. Just can't seem to borrow a copy lol. I have watched all the movies though and I absolutely love it. All the special effect and all. :) It would be quite sad for the series to end though.. always sad when we come to the ultimate end.

If you love the movies, I don't know what you would think of the books. The books are much much better than the movies. Most of us feel that way. If you have a library card, you can have a go at the books too. I agree the special effects are good in the movies. It gives a boost to our imagination while we read the books. It is both sad and exciting that the series is ending. I want to get out of this maniac somehow. I am dreaming of Harry very often now. Maybe the end of the series is the answer, but wait, the movies may still be holding me till maybe 2010. lol.

Hmm...I think I will read Book 7 from the start. I don't want to kowm the end at first, because it won't make me feel good. I like to read a book from the start. I think it's interesting. And I'm sure if I got Book 7, I will finish it as soon as possible.

I want to give myself a thrill. I will definitely not read the last few pages of book7 coz I wanted to read them from the very beginning. Whew! I also can't wait to read that book...DARNN....;)

That is what I am frightened of - the thrill of it. I don't know if I can hold onto it. Everytime Harry faces Voldemort my heart starts thumping very fast no matter how many times I read it. On top of it this is going to be the last time. I hope he is lucky.

I might take a quick peek at the end but only maybe the last page or something. Also when I reserved my book on Amazon.com they said it would arrive at my door the day of its released. I would check to see if maybe that is true for you :) HAPPY READING

That will be tempting but since this is gonna be the last book, i will really control myself and read it from the beginning. As for how long I will probably be reading it. 2 days max. :-)

Ahhh I could never do that with a Harry Potter book. I feel guilty just skipping ahead a few pages in the very exciting parts when I want to see what happens. I'll probably read it within a day. I'm getting my book at midnight, so I'm guessing I'll start reading it pretty early in the morning and possibly skip a few meals. Feel free to call me obsessed..

I too have never done it before because it wasn't the last book. So you can just keep on reading from the beginning. But this is going to be the last book, and I hate bad surprises :P. Skipping a few meals... oh... I wish I could do that, but with a 9 month old baby and a 5 year old girl at my heels, it is going to take longer than I thought. hmmm...
