Should applications only be placed in the morning?

I've always heard that it is best to get up and go submit applications in the morning. Well, I am considering applying at a 24 hour food joint as a server and I am just wondering if the same thing should apply. It's just that I am going to apply to work at night and I'm a night person. It isn't until the afternoon that I usually even feel alive. I don't sleep late, but I'm just happier and feeling more positive later in the day. So, do you think it really matters when I go and put in an application?

I agree with the morning or early afternoon time for putting in applications. Most places like them to come in earlier as there is usually a manager on site. This may also help you with getting an interview on the spot.
If you go after business hours (8a-5p) then what is the chance of a manager ever seeing your application? Will the workers put it in a safe place where the manager can find it? How many workers will look at it and see all your personal info; social security number, address, phone, etc...?
My hubby and I use to Manage a restaurant and we had alot of problems with employees that thought applications were there business and they could look at them when they received them and they would put them in places other then where they were suppose to go. Just some things you might take into consideration when applying for a job.

You want to be sure that you give the (right) person your application & the (right) person would be the manger, supervisor or anyone in personel.I think that it would be wise to submit an application in the morning, because that is usually the best time to catch the managers & supervisors at the establishments. Anyway, good luck with your application:)
