Do you find you make meals that fit together because of the way you grew up? Like do you make macaroni and cheese with hotdogs? Or how about grilled cheese with tomato soup. Do you find that any of your meals seem different if you don't make them according to your personal history? Mine do. How about yours?

My boyfriend and his family eat peanut butter sandwiches with chili. Most people in this area do so as well. It makes me sick to even think of it together. But, they have done that all their lives. I did not grow up here, so I never heard of such a thing.

i cook a recipe according to personal history when my mom is coming for a visit... but if it is only my sister and friends or for my kids a give a little twist then if we like it i try again another twist... i'll be having one recipe and different ways to cook it.

yes it does, and sometimes my sis and friends say their idea and it becomes another new way to cook it.
