Why are judges so stupid?

I am not familiar with the real story behind that custody thing over David's daughter, but I am responding on this discussion based on my opinion and to what you had posted. Perhaps, the reason why the judge give the custody to David because he could afford to give his daughters the welfare than the mother. Welfare of the children place a higher preference on custody of children above 7 years old. Another reason perhaps is that the daughters chose him instead of their mother. The allows the children to choose whom they prefer to stay on. Drinking per se or getting drunk is not a major ground for denying the custody of children as long as it is not habitual drunkenness.

From what I've heard, he is still the more fit parent. Doesn't say much about their mom does it?? He's not supposed to drink any at all now that he has custody, or he could lose them. So hopefully that will help to fix some of his problems. Maybe he will actually turn out to be a really good dad since he won't be drinking or anything.
