Dressmaker

I am about to take a course for Dressmaking and wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions on one that would be useful with making like dresses and gowns...and also which do you think is the best and why. Links to pictures could help. Thanx alot :)

The best advice i can give you is that if you get so far into it that you become a seamstress for others, make sure you follow orders. when i had my wedding dress made, i told the woman absolutely NO pearls, well i had to many of them on the dress at first you almost couldn't even see it for them. then i told her i wanted it natural, NO supports (you know, those plastic inserts) well i had those on it too, i asked her to remove all that crap, she removed the pearls, wouldn't remove that plastic crap. so though i was happy with the look of the dress for the most part in the end, i wasn't happy that it didn't look more natural.

That is totally understandable. You go into business for the customer and if the customer wants it a certain way then you should do it, unless its a bad decision, then you will explain to the person why it is and try to agree on something. But thanx for the answer :)
