rail platform & tracks in india

There are employees to clean platforms as soon as the trains leave the platform.But we should be reasonable because without considering the trouble of employees they face, we must put the waste materials in the dust bins.
One can notice lot of plastic cups, water papers and other thrown materials by people flooded in tracks too.
Even though the railway employees clean i think its tough to remove all because the trains keep on passing tracks every minute.Its the people who should realise this and restrict themselves in putting the waste in tracks.
we appreciate singapore because if dust or water material thrown on the roads the offenders are punished but this law is difficult to be enforced in a country like India where the population is growing day by day.
In Country like India,what we must do to bring the awareness of the people inorder to keep the environment clean and safe.Please write your opinion..

I was travelling by Brindavan express to Chennai and I had couple of interesting copassengers, a couple with a kid from Denmark. They were proceeding to Vellore Hospital, being social workers they had somework there. I was talking to them on various issues and the kid was 4 year old. In between the journey, they purchased chocolates for the kid. The kid promptly ate the chocolate and put the wrapper in its pocket. When asked why he did that, the replay was stunning. :I want to put the wrapper in waste paper basked".
There are lots of things we have to learn from others, when we do not understand the importance of it. Particularly, throwing away the garbage.
Yes, our stations stink, because many people we are travellers use the toilets at stations and cause stink. It is only the people who need to be educated in this regard, so that our railstations become clean.

Here in our country even aware people throe the waste in streets saying that everybody does that why should we not.I have seen many people just not the illeterates or poor people.We as a community don't consider our streets or platforms our.So we think that is as a dustbin.People don't have a civic sense & it is really difficult to have them that.Also the growing population is a hurdle.& you know that the very same people goes in different countries & don't throw wastes there & praise that countries people compltely forgoting themselves.
