How much sleep do you get?

My head feels heavy and I usually experience a low energy level althrough out the next day when I don't get enough good night's sleep. Though coffee perks me up but nothing beats to a good night sleep of 8-10 hours for me. What works for you?

Hi, LoovesAmethyst. As for me, I think it's also enough sleep. As a human being, if we sleep less than 6 hours for a long time, it's really bad for our health. You may feel tired and sleepy always. So I usually keep sleeping 6 to 8 hours at every night. By the way, it's also not good for our health if sleeping too long. It's said that eight hours per day is enough. Have a good day! :)

I get around 6-8 hours of sleep. Even If I go to bed very late, I ensure that I get adequate sleep for me that night, and I shall plan my next days based on that. I believe, noting in the world is more important than the health of our body.

I don't sleep very much at all. I would say maybe 6 hours each night. When this first started happening about 20 years ago, I worried a little at first, then I thought worrying was just making the situation worse, so I just slept as long as my body wanted to and let it go at that. Some people need a lot of sleep, some people need very little. There are then, some people in the world who hardly ever sleep and get along fine with it. I suspect its something to do with the mind and what we believ in that makes the difference :-)

Hello loovesamethyst!! Same here works for me, nothing beats the 8 hours of sleep... i love the feeling of waking up having slept that long. Some might be okey with 4-5 hours but i think it's healthier to have 8 hrs. Would you believe that i only had an hour or two of sleep last night because i have to wake up as early as 5am for work. I think it's beacuse of the hot tea we drank last night at a restaurant after we had dinner. i didn't really know what's with that kind of tea, i wondered if it has caffien in it. I have been drinking other kinds of tea and there was nothing like it. The last time i checked the time i think it was about 3am and woke up with the alarm at 5am... Oooh i hate the heavy head and didn't have to take a bath because of it. No more tea for tonight, gotta have enough sleep for work tomorrow.

hi LoovesAmethyst! I definitely agree with you. And you're so lucky to be able to sleep that long. In my case, my maximum hours of sleep is only 8 hours. But my average sleeping time is just 6-7 hours. I'm always trying to have 8 hours to 10 hours but i'm not successful. So maybe that's just what my body's biological clock permits.

The same thing works for me. If I get less that 8 hours of sleep, i get so cranky and if i get less than that 8 hours, i feel so tired even if it is only an hour of sleep deprivation. Maybe its all in the head. But one thing i have tried though is not coffee but chocolate energy drinks and i usually eat a lot of fiber in the morning to flush out the toxins and i exercise, a few miles of jogging and a couple rounds of jumping rope. It has helped me a lot.
