i have hundreds of books and have read them all but for some reason i cannot get rid of any of them. why is that?? some of them i have had for years. i just cannot seem to get rid of them for nothing. i did sell a few at a yardsale a few years back, but over the past few years i have made up for it and now have even more books. i love thrift stores because i can come out of there with a bunch of books for next to nothing.

Join bookcrossing.com and you can trade the books or send them to people that want them - as random acts of kindness. Or you can register them and leave them places like coffee shops and airports for others to read and register and then you can track where they went.

I love reading, n when I finished reading a book, I will read every part that makes me more interested. Even if I bored with it, but someday, i'll miss it n read it again. I collected books n wishing that someday, my child will reading it too. But I'm not to keen in nonfiction books. I had a lot of Accounting books (since I was majoring on Accounting), and I wanna get rid of it.^^

I also find it very hard to part with books. Its not so bad if they go to friends or on Freecycle or one of the local equivalents as you know they will be well loved, but I coul dno more throw out a book than I could sevr my own arm I think!

Depending on what you are reading. I swap some and sell some at my event I go to every year. The books pay my lot rent. I too like to collect books, they are just a part of who I am. Tell me what kind you have and maybe I can arrange to buy some from you if you wish to part with some. I have a books store also that I can take books to and they give me store credit and that is fun to use. Good luck no matter what you choose to do.

I love my books too! I have hundreds also. And like you, I have a hard time parting with them. I share them with friends in a heart beat and love to loan them to people but I just don't weed through and get rid of them as I should. I think it is because I get so involved in them when I am reading them that I feel I have left a bit of myself in each book. That may be silly.

Indywahm, I love books to and have thousands, that are boxed up. I have been selling books on ebay though right now I have none listed. I need to list some more of them. Ebay is a great place to list books for sell. I love going to Indianapolis when I get a chance to go to half priced books, going into a goodwill or someother thrift store. I read the books I buy then will list them on ebay. Depending on the writer, alot of times I will get more five times more than what I paid for the book, then I go out and buy even more. I am addicted to reading. I even find errors in books the writer's editor missed. lol My children have as many books as I do but I use freecycle most of the time when it is time to purge those books. If it is something that you just want to get rid of. Go to yahoo. On their homepage you will see a tab called groups. Look up I am assuming you are from around some where near Indy by your name or somewhere in Indiana also. But type in your city and Freecyle with it. Then ask to join your local group. Within 24 hours they will approve you, then you can list away. With books A ton of people respond, but you can not sell anything on freecycle. You can only give away and request items you want or need. Hope this helps

I have had a hundred books too as I love reading books. Mostly fiction though and some personal finance books. I am not really that into non-fiction. But anyways, I had this problem of storing all these books that I have collected until my friend and I opened a little books for rent shop and so my problem was solved. I sent most of my books to the store so now I have a little more space at the house. Although I still have some books left, those that I really treasure and could not afford to send somewhere else:P I also love thrift stores because the books come cheap.
