Saturday, 16 June... what a stunning game. A close game but the most important thing is, that the springboks won, 22 to 19. I was on the edge of my seat with Carl telling me the whole match that South Africa would loose 34 to 13 to the Ausies. I kept telling him to keep quiet and just watch this space. I never loose faith in my team and support them all the way. Francois Steyn made those two drop goals that were just brilliant. This young 20 year old has great potential in South African Rugby. Schalk Burger Jnr was just all part of the game all the time and eventually was named man of the match. Percy Montgomery made that great break away to nearly score another try for the South African team. Most importantly South African won on home ground and set themselves up for a greater start against the All Blacks next week in Durban. I am a Springbok and my blood is green. I will support my team. I will shout my lungs out in my lounge while watching each game. 4 International games played and 4 International games won. What more kan I say. Just watch this space.

I didn't see this match, but I've seen the following two against New Zealand and Australia. I think South Africa is the best team in the world right now and Francois Steyn is at the top of his career. There is no way that the Springboks will miss this Tri Nation Cup, but it's very important for them to bring young players of the same quality or they won't be able to keep the same level for long.
