I have heard many different opinions about this. I have a tattoo. And I know plenty of christians who have tattoos. I know your body is a temple, but is it wrong to decorate the temple? What do you think? This body is fleeting, just as this life, so is it really important rather or not you have a tattoo or a bunch of tattoos?

I don't think there is anything wrong with tatoos at all, I have one right now and plan to get more... your body may be a "temple" but it is still yours and I do not believe that any religion should put restrictions on your body

I don't really believe that having a tattoo has anything to do with Christianity or sins. I am a Christian and I have a tattoo. I guess it's just what the individual wants and believes. I actually got a tattoo of my son's name at a Christian tattoo place. I know that I wouldn't ever get a tattoo on certain places on my body but that's just my choice. I don't believe it's wrong to do that.

thats cool. I never heard of that. but I think it is a good idea, I look at it more like decorating your temple, than messing it up...

The people that own it and as far as I know, the people who work there are all Christian. They play Christian music. I just think that they are regular church goers and just want to make it a place where people who believe the same thing they do will feel comfortable going to, to get something that a lot of people do see as "messing up your temple".

I don't think it's a sin to have tattoos. I think some people get so caught up in christianity that just about most things are a sin. My husband has earrings in his ear and he had a guy come up and start preaching to him that it was a sin and he actually took the earrings out and threw them on the ground and then asked my husband if he felt better now that they were out. I had to laugh at this. It was the first time we had heard something like this before.

I couldn't find anything in my Bible concordance about tatoos or ink on the body, etc. I don't think anything is written that forbids tatoos. Maybe someone could imply that they are sinful from the scriptures about the body being a temple or refraining from adornment of the body, but those would be interpretations. I don't think tatoos or piercings are sinful. Maybe dangerous if you don't get them done by a professional or at least know the instruments are sterile. Maybe in poor taste, depending on what kind of tatoo it is and where it is. They are not my cup of tea, but if they float your boat, go for it!

I have heard people saying it is a sin but many others don't believe this! I am a Christian and I have a tattoo of a celtic love cross ! I know many people who are Christians who have tattos! I do not see why it would be a sin but that is my opinion xxx
