Favorite ways to monetize your blog.

I have been running my latest blog ( PretendImGod.com ) for about a year and a half. Throughout that time I have only used contextual ads and the occasional referral banner to a program, such as blingo, that I like. I personally must say that Google Adsense is the best way I have found to monetize MY blog. This does not mean it is the best way that you have found to monetize yours. Obviously, different content will generate different advertisements, so for some, Google Adsense may not be the best way for them to monetize their blog. My question, or purpose of this discussion is to find out what some other bloggers are using, why they are using it, and how it benefits them over other sources of advertising revenue.
