it is not a story... it's a historical fact. that hollywood made it seem so unreal... that;s another story. hollywood has the bad habit in doing that.

The Spartans versus the Persians battle really happened, and the 300 men squad of the spartan king Leonidas became legendary for fighting agains the massive army of Xerxes. But some of the facts that are shown in the movie arent real. Remember, its based on a comic book, and this comic book is the opinion of a man, not History itself. For example, History says that the 300 men never had the chance of confronting Xerxes face-to-face, as it shows in the movie.

Hum, its hard to get evidence of that, but i do believe they have killed at least 1000 persians. If you consider the fact that the Spartan nation were of warriors, they were born and raise to the wars, and thats true according to history. They had better equipment ( this thing of fight only with shields,helmets and spears are not true, in fact, they had good protective armor, the persian were really dressed up with cloths), and they also had a great military strategy. In fact the only thing that counted towards the Persians, were the massive number os men in their army (which is indeed great), but they're number was nothing in a fighting area like the Hot Gates, since it was a narrow corridor...
With those things in mind, i think that it was totatlly possible for the Spartans to kill that much of Persians.

Ha ha that is so funny 7300 fighting like 1million persians. Isnt the story suposed to be like 300 spartans stopped them at some spot and the king used his terrain tatics to stop the persians while all of greece gathers to stop persia?
thats what my friend told me. My cousin told me it was actually like 500 spartans. I am confused.
