My cat redefines the meaning of picky.

My cat simply refuses to eat canned cat food after it's been stored in the refrigerator. He has no problem eating it, served out of the can, at room temperature. But, I can't possibly put out an entire can everytime he feeds. So it ends up in the trash. And, that's expensive. Why do you think he'd suddenly get picky? Do cats have a problem with cold cat food? Maybe the canned cat food tastes different after it goes into the refrigerator? Would love to solve this cat conudrum.
