I still prefer good old cash. Even in this age I don't use a credit card. is it strange or are there other people also who prefer to use cash rather than credit card?

I MUCH prefer to use cash rather than a credit card. Even going to the grocery store I try to have cash. Although, sometimes cash isn't practical. I don't want to carry around a large sum of money if I'm buying something fairly expensive. Also, I will use the credit card when I buy gas because I hate going in. But really gas is about all I want to use my credit card for. Even if you get cash back as I do, it's just better not to have to charge it.

I don't carry large amount of money, I usually write a cheque for large purchases, the cash back that you get is just the discount that the stores would otherwise give you.

No, the cash back isn't something I would get from a store. That isn't how my credit card works.

What about debit cards, would you use them if they offered the same cash back.

I like to use a credit card, expecially when I have the cards that offer rewards such as cash back. It's probably not good though, it's easy to let them get out of control. I've gotten some stolen and used before too and that is never good.

That is right, a debit card is safer if your buying gets out of control with the credit card. Do any debit cards offer cash back?

I would rather use as credit card. Do you know the expression, "money burns a hole in your pocket?" That applies to me. So to avoid temptation, I save enough to purchase something, take my credit card, buy it, and either rush to the bank to transfer money or to my online bank. It also prevents me from buying something unnecessarily since if I know I will have to use my credit card, I will have to have enough money to pay for it, but the reason is I get dividends from using my credit card.

My experience has been just the opposite, with cash I know just what I can spend but with credit cards my cousins spend more without any control, because they can pay up to 1 month later.
