i am from the philippines but never had a chance to go at baguio. as they say that the way to go to baguio is zigzag and i am not very comfortable on those kind of ways. i get dizzy inside the bus even if it is not zigzag so what more if it is. all i have is the story of the place because my sister has the chance to visit that already.

If you really want to, I'd recommend traveling at night..you won't really feel it if you travel on big aircon buses like Victory Liner......and Bring blankets too...their aircon is really cold... At night you won't even feel the zigzag road cause by then i guarantee you'd be sleeping and when you wake up the hills will be dotted with lights.....Welcome to Baguio!:-)

i have been to Baguio when i was still in my 3rd grade, wayback 1967, togeher with my father. if i can remember it right we stayed in one of my father's cousins and stayed there for three days. i had the chance to see and visit the Philippine Military Academy, Burnham Park, the Lourdes Grotto where i had to take the many steps leading to the Blessed Mother. I couldn't forget the cold weather then because i was wearing thick clothings and jacket. that wasmy first and last visit to Baguio. I know lots of changes and developments happened there for the last 3 decades and i am still hoping to revisit the place someday.

i've been there! it was so fun! but i'd suggest that you go there not in the summer season, though it may seem a parody. there are plenty of people there during summer. and alot of garbage. and yeah, the temperature is cold. real cold. (sigh) i miss baguio. was there 4 weeks ago.

You said it! So many people's fondest wish is to live there. You can actually wear your best leather, wool or boots and never look a bit weird.

I did went there with my friends but that was 2 years ago. Its a very cold city. Theres no aircon there because the whole city feels like theres a centralized aircon everywhere 24/7. I like to try to live there for a couple of months but didnt have the chance to. :)

I have been to Baguio and I like the place. We stayed at Pine Breeze Cottages. Although the place did not have any air conditioners, it was still cold during the night. The taxi is cheap too. Flag down rate is only 25 pesos. I like it when it's 4 am, so cold.

Yup, nobody needs aircon cause it's cooooold...And the good thing about the taxi is it's always metered, they don't reject passengers and they return your change even if it's 1 peso....It gets really cold in the late afternoons and at dawn when you can actually see fogs out of the house... That's why you really need to cuddle up..:-) Hope you had a good experience in Baguio...

I've been there a lot of times when I was a kid and god knows how many horseback riding trips I had! hahaha! There was even a time I fell from the horse and broke my back. Since then, I never rode big horses! The barrel man! Endless ukay ukay! Grilled corn! And the cold fog that wakes me up at dawn! Had a lot of fun memories there. But my family sold our house and I never had the opportunity to go back since I didn't know where to stay...Sadness...Would you know where there's a cheap place to stay and how much? I would love to go back!

those are good memories. there are lots of places you could stay.... Aside form the hotels, there are apartments that offer their rooms as transients too...

i have been to baguio for like 5 times. the most recent was when i took a flight to loakan airport, via asian spirit. their airport is too small for bigger planes so only smaller planes are allowed, the only airline that flies there is asian spirit. if you haven't been to baguio you are missing half of your life :) but if you already went there numerous times i think more people want the old baguio than the present. urbanization sometimes kills the peace and quiet of baguio. but baguio is a great place to migrate in because you don't have to have ventilation appliances that can add up to your electric bill, vegetables are cheaper and cold weather is great for the skin ^-^.

I've been to Baguio several times. I love going around the city with my cousins and seeing the Flower Festival almost every year. My uncle belongs to the army so we always got to see demonstrations and the graduation ceremonies at the Philippine Military Acadamy. The last time I went there, I was with my friends from the office and it was one of our most memorable trips. The weather is great and most of the people are really nice.

Baguio City is my home and my origin! Yes, who would not love the place where you have learned and earned your being. Many says, Baguio is a mini city built only for about 30,000 plus population and the city builders never imagined that it's population will blossom of the number it has today. It is now becoming the center of education in the Cordilleras. I love my home!
