I feel and backed by the following excerpts, I can say that the microsoft internet explorer is NOT safe:Ms. Sandlin is so devoted to[Firefox] that she has taped a note to her monitor warning guests not to click on the desktop shortcut to Internet Explorer. Do not touch the blue ‘E!’ the note says.- NEW YORK TIMES The security researchers are reporting a new vulnerability in XP SP2 that could allow a malicious Web site to deposit an attack program on a user's system. The attack utilizes Internet Explorer's drag-and-drop features and the Windows "shell folders" to copy an executable from a malicious Web site to a user's startup folder, from which it would execute the next time the user logged on.-EWEEK Do you also agree with me? Recently I lost 'all' may data that was saved on my P.C. Its was very frustrating and now I've installed Norton security system. Have you also suffered from problems through internet explorer? Do you think some hacker may be skimming through your confedential data online? What you have to say? Please share your bad experiences and how you rectified it.

yes, it is truth since internet explore is installed in all the computer, the people who is making all the viruses and spyware know that and they are working very hard in it I think the old version of internet explorer are very unsafe but now since I am using Mozilla Firefox I never have a problem with my it again it is really good for get rid of that all spyware, I have heard that the new version of internet explorer but I prefer keep using my Mozilla Firefox, it is really stable, I am a user of Linux and it is great to see how you will not get all that viruses, but I think for a skilled hanker there is nothing imposible so the best to keep safer you information is making a backup and keeping it offline, it is very difficult for a hacker destroy or stole information that actually is offline so If you want to keep your files safe the best place for it is cd or dvd.

I know that Firefox is lauded by fans for its download speed and a superior user interface, and users say that its pop-up blocker is one of the best out there. It offers tabbed browsing, which means that users can jump back and forth between different sites with only one window open, and live bookmarks, which show users the most recent headlines on their favorite sites and lets them go directly to those articles. But the biggest challenge facing anyone who wants to take on IE is that most Web sites are built to work best with Microsoft's IE simply because it's what sits on most PCs. That means some sites may not look quite right or may not be accessible at all via a browser other than IE. But i have read lot of articles where people question the safety of IE.

Never had that problem with Internet Explorer to tell you the truth. I never really thought of it as unsafe but if it's true I won't be using it most likely. I'll just stick with Firefox and Yahoo Browser since they both have been good with me.
