We just sold our house and I am going to put a lot of things on sale on ebay. I have a lot of kid clothes and some of them are brand new. I will sort the clothes and sell them as lots. One lot if going to have almost 80 pieces. So if it sells then I will have to ship it in a big box. Which shipping company do you think is best for big boxes? Thank you for your time and your answer.

Are you sure you want the headace of using ebay? Have you considered a garage sale? What about listing the things on Craigslist, Myspace, Backpage, etc. You wouldn't have to worry about ebay, paypal, shipping materials, etc. I know the post office provides boxes, you can contact for more info....goodluck.

Thank you for all this information inallduetime. I will be sure to check these sites next time. As you say no worries about shipping and people who don't pay. And also ebay and paypal fees... Shipping fees that have gone up... Thanks again!

I sell on ebay all the time. I charge a flat rate for shipping and then ship the fastes route I can. Usually USPS 1st class or Priority. A lot of over 80 pieces will be very heavy.. be sure to weigh it before listing so you don't shortchange yourself. Good luck and have fun! Ebaying is addictive as hell! I started out just selling off a few things and now have a store.

Hi cloud_kicker_32. The size wasn't 4/5T (if this means 4/5 years old). The clothes I listed were for 6 years old. I listed the items on eBay and a woman emailed me with a price. As nobody bid yet I got rid of the listing on ebay. I am moving soon and I didn't want to take the chance of leaving the listing until the auction ends and nobody buys it. I am moving at the end of the month. I still have a lot of clothes that are already packed. Girls clothes (same thing: some are brand new). I will list them on Graigslist and other sites as my friend inallduetime advised. It's for 7-8 years old. If you are interested, I will contact you with my listing links so you can see the items. Thanks again cloud_kicker and take care.

I think all this time I bought items from Ebay, they use USPS. I don't remember anyone using other service from the US, unless it's envelope. Items from Canada usually are shipped with Canada Post, they have good rates for US and Canada.

Yes shiping from the US to Canada is better with USPS because there is less fees... I have heard bad stories with UPS for people who shipped to Canada from the US.

I believe that UPS would be best with a box the size that it will be too get those clothes in. That is a large lot of stuff and it will be heavey. I would get a rate quote from whichever company I went with before I listed so you don't shortchange yourself as I have before on small items.

Hi firumon. We are going to Denver (Colorado) for few months to be with my mother in-law. She is being treated in a hospital there. Then we will move to Hawaii after that. hehehe with my own earnings, we can only buy some sandwiches to eat lol My husband laughs at me when I tell him that I am going to earn some money online. He doesn't believe that we can actually earn. But hey! I think I am going to prove him wrong!
