If youre a beginner in all these stuff you can try and geocities.com. that where i started. I love the idea of inserting pictures and other stuff and preview it right away on the net. So no uploading and all that kind of stuff. Just create an account, design your webpages and they all appear right away and you can tell your friends about in an instant :)
