You might feel VERY alone as this disease is known to make you feel alone and hopeless but you are not the only one battling this disease. You must see a Dr. and ask for help!

you're not alone in this world who has a sickness... some of them are worser than you have now... Depression is the first stage of mental illness... You would be here if u are trully depressed... It's ur thinking being bored to ur life... Nothing to do or afraid of working or something... It's better to think positively than sitting in the corner wasting time thinking. It's just pain not depression... It will ease sooner or later.... but depression it will be stick with u till the end of ur life....

It is not just you that goes through this. Every depressed person feels this way and since there still is a stigma attached to it, i.e. if you just get off the couch and enjoy life, you'll feel better, you feel that you are the only one in the world it affects. Is there a support group in your town or city? If there is, find out from your mental health provider and go there. If you know there are others like yourself, you can talk about it and find solutions, medicines that work, etc.

Believe it or not, babe, depression affects millions of people in the world. But it's a very quiet illness, so not everyone realizes that you're ill. Also many others are kind of embarassed and don't want to tell others they are depressed. Don't feel alone babe, because you're not the only one....Go find professional help and you will feel much better soon :)

I can't really offer any advice because I haven't experienced it before, but I can assure you that there are many MyLot members who would love to be here for you in your time of need. Sometimes we need to learn lessons which only pain can teach us. Perhaps you need to learn how to reach out to people, or how to accept help, or how to be compassionate to others in pain. Only you can figure this out, but getting professional help will be a good first step. It could be as simple as a chemical imbalance that is your "luck of the draw!" You are not alone!!!!! Go see a doctor soon, there is help out there, but you have to go get it! Just taking positive action will help you start to feel better. Good luck and may you find your peace within!

I read the responds you got. But,until you talk to some one that is there and can understand what you are going through you will not begin to recover. It will take someone to understand. How you say do I know, because I am dealing with depression myself.I have been dealing with it for years, but I have a chronic illness witch causes mine.So it is best to get treatment and find out the cause,it could be something you can control easy.
