Hi, I too dont know how to swim. But my husband knows to swim. Beside their house, there is a small pool and he always used to try to swim there. And he learnt to swim in that way. But I cant. And I am not interested too in swimming.

I can swim. My parents taught me when I was about 6 years old. Later on I had swimming classes in school. This improved on the style. I can swim for a very long time, for hours in the water. It always gave me a feeling of security. I had a lot of fun going swimming as a child and as a teenager when we went swimming. Once you learn it, you never forget it, you can always swim. I wish you good luck and have fun!

I had a swimming lesson years ago so I am comfortable in deep waters. But then I could not really execute the strokes the correct way. I was also into scuba diving before, and being comfortable in the water is one of its basic requirements.

Nope I really don't know how to swim. At least the scientific way. And I would also love to learn how to swim but I just don't have the time to spare for it. But someday I will prioritize it:P

I took swimming lessons when I was six. Swimming is a very good way to exercise without straining your joints, and it helps to keep cool during hot weather. There's been a recent spate of drowning incidents in my country, so more parents are sending their kids to swimming classes. Adding to that, there's the rising ocean level and climate change which makes swimming even more important to a person living on an island. Personally I find the water very enjoyable :) just be sure to keep chlorine and salt damage in check!

I don't know how to swim properly but I can swim underwater as long as I can hold my breath. But I usually get cramps and its my ultimate dilemna whenever I go to swim. :( I really wished I learned to swim when I was younger.

No. I hope I have the courage to go to the swimming class. I am afraid of drowning.. even I know that the instructor will be there to assist... but ..Hmmm.. I hope I have that courage.

Yes, I can swim. I learned it when I was a child. Perhaps we come from the south part of China, so we get more chances to swim because it is warm here.

Yes I can, I took up swimming in college. I think it's an important skill to learn. You don't have to be a fast swimmer, just learning how to float and get around in the water is good enough.

I can't, either. I did take some swimming classes but I dropped out. And I've never gone back into the pool again.
