i always rate every response i get. If it is on topic and over one line in length it will be a plus rating too. If we dont rate, then the people we are responding to will not see an improvement in their star ranking. But, why wouldnt you want to give a plus?

I only rate - when someone has gone clearly off the bounds of what i consider manners and respect. I don't mind if i don't like what the person says, nor if i agree, but i don't like people who is disrespectful.
I rate + when i find a post interesting, original, funny...in short, if i find it of good quality.
If you don't mark any best response it doesn't matter. I don't always do it myself, only sometimes, when a post really surprises me.

I give (+) positive to every response I get, because I don't give negatives as long as they give relevant responses to my posts. It is our duty to give some boost to our fellow mylotians, so it's better to rate them (+) as "thank you."
One thing that most mylot user's misunderstood is, to abuse the ratings system here. They should know the importance of every response they get, may it be in an "Aree" or "Disagree" manner.
