Update = I need your prayers!!

Thank you, to each one of you who responed with prayers, thoughts, lighting candles, etc., even those of you who did something, but didn't post anything. My father in law is getting stronger and things as of right now are looking good. He is scheduled sometime this week, (not sure on exact day yet) to have a flap put on his leg. This means the infection has not returned. His color is better and he is able to talk more to us. Since this began, for the first time, things are really looking hopeful. However we are not out of the woods yet and I am still asking all of you to continue to pray/think of him. With all my heart and soul, thank you! Have you ever had a sick loved that seemed to tear your heart out to see them like that? What are somethings you did to get through it?

I'm so glad your father-in-law is getting better. My prayers are with him and with you. Whenever I've had a sick loved one (such as this week, when my 85-year-old uncle was in the hospital in Miami), I pray, try to keep a positive attitude but also try to prepare myself for what could happen. I guess I try to cover all bases, emotionally. ;) But most of all, I think about the person and what they've meant to me in my life.

I think the only way to get through it is to keep faith and pray. I am so glad your father in law is improving.

Well surprise to us all, his surgery was 2 hours ago and he is already back in his room having dinner! I just spoke with him, he didn't tell anyone cause he didn't want us to worry. Yep, he is getting right back to his old self, LOL. I am just tickled.
