Safe , or Dangerous ?

Portugal. I think that its the most like .. beauitiful place ever. well, i've only been to one part of it, and that was an island but i still love it. anyways, after that madeleine mccann thing, do you think portugal's a safe , beauitiful place to visit, or live, or do you think that its not safe at all and a bad .. enviroment, for children ? Someday, i want to move there and all. Im not scared . portugal's like soo awsome . the heat, the ocean .. just everything about it . but is it saf e ?

Portugal is the saftest european country. I think that girls dissaperance is a bit strange to tell you the truth. Portugal has very loose laws because it the maxium prison sentence in Portugal is 25 year 15 with good behavior. People go missing all the time one girl in a country doesn't make it unsafe at all

Thanks for liking Portugal.
Now about it's saffety issue, come on. Although it isn't as develop as most of the countries, it doesn't mean that it doesn't have problems with safety. Yes, we dont have terrorist threats, but we also have to be careful, we can't act like nothing would hapend. Anything can hapen. Everywhere. It's like all of the countries, everyone has its onw problems.

I have been to most of the world, actually to four continents, and no doubt that PT is one of the safest countries in the world, people are simple and nice, most speak english, french and spanish, food is great ;)
I have lived many years in some of the G7 countries and never felt better than in Portugal ;)

I have just come back from Portugal and I loved it. My parents have been living there for 2 years now without any problems. I went with my three daughters aged 16, 4 and 3 years. I never felt unsafe once. My 4 year old looks very much like Maddie and I got stopped a few times but only because people care. I have to agree that it is a really great place. I would think it is a lot safer than most places in Europe, dont you?
