Are you a microwave mom?

Recently, on the Rachel Ray show, Joan Cusak admitted to being a microwave mom. And, that she rarely cooks in her house. And, considering that she's a super busy successful actress, in addition to being a mom, who could blame her. Sometimes a mom just doesn't have time to cook, clean and take care of the kids, while holding down a job or going to college. I'd consider myself a microwave mom, except that my microwave broke awhile back! Would you consider yourself a microwave mom?

I'm not a microwave mom as much as a take out mom. We do try to at least pick up somewhat healthy meals to bring home, but that is my down fall. My microwave is used mostly for zapping ice cream for 5 seconds so it is easier to scoop. Ha,ha.

That is too funny! That's the one thing I hate most about my microwave, is that I couldn't actually cook anything in it. Though I did see a company that made microwave mini cakes. Never tried them though.

I heat up leftovers in the microwave sometimes, but I very rarely actually cook anything in it. I just don't like the way stuff tastes that is microwaved. I would much rather just cook it on the stove or in the oven. When my husband "cooks" lunch for our son, it's usually something in the microwave. They both like rubbery food I guess, but personally I can't stand it, so I don't expect my son to eat it.

my mom tries not to and does a fairly good job at it but sometimes it gets stressful because she's a vegetarian and the rest of the family is meat eaters. So knowing what to cook for us and herself is hard so she ends up making a huge portion of every meal so the family has a lot of leftovers.
