Who is your favourite male actor and why ?

Kevin Spacey. He's brilliant. I love that he keeps his life so secret because it's better to be an actor when no one knows things about you. I think he's a great actor and plays a variety of roles really well. Plus...he's a Lord and how can you not love a lord?

Hello DR9, nice topic!I have a few:1- Dustin Hoffman: Top man on the list! He is academic, as well as a talented actor. Not affraid to tell the turth. Although he is a jew, which there is nothing wrong with that, but I deeply respect a man who stands for the turth and criticize his own people. Not a lot can do that. 2- Gary Oldman: Man this guy is fantastic! Speaks multiple languages, can do ANYTHING and become the role his is doing with great sincereity!3- Sean Connery: A veteran! It takes a very very long time and much more effort to break from the curse, coil and reputation people got to know you by. Especially JAMES BOND. He broke out of the 007 curse with other versitle roles. Which until now no other Bond actor could do. U must admire that in him. 4- John Leguizamo: I love this DUDE! Although his roles are not that well known and he utterly stupid career choices, but I admire his talent and the way he makes me laugh!! he can be a very serious serious actor too!!5- Rob Schneider: He is waaay much better than Jim Carey in my HONEST opinion. Too bad, he also has stupidly made the wron career choices as well. Those are my top actors that I admire the most. Of course I am a fan of the other MAINSTREAM action heros like Tom Cursie and Nic Cage:P Thank U DR9, i hope my "few" weren't too much! ha ha

I have a few, but I'm going to pick Richard Gere. He is just as versatile as Robert De Niro. He landed his first leading role in a London production of the rock musical "Grease" in 1973. He can sing, dance, play the piano, and is a great humanitarian. In 1980, he went to Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador, he traveled with a doctor and visited refugee camps. Which is a big plus in my book:) His first break came with, American Gigolo (1980), and An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) But I think he will always be remembered for his role in Pretty Women with Julia Roberts. Then just to show his versatility, came the role of the corrupt cop in Internal Affairs, and then role in Unfaithful opposite Diane Lane, where he plays a murderer. My favorite movies where he played in are: Pretty Women, (there he played one of his own compositions on the piano for the the music score) The Mothman Prophecies, First Knight, and Mr. Jones, just to name a few. Hi. My favourite male actor is Will Smith. It is because of the amount of energy that he brings into everything he does. I read a interview of his in Reader's Digest three months ago and came to know about the source from where he draws all that energy and I am trying to o the same.
