I just read an article about a woman who was arrested in New York for taking a walk without her shirt on. She later sued the city for $29,000 for illegally arresting her. Apparently the cop didn't know about the law that it was legal for women expose their chests if men could. The law was passed in 1992. Here is an article in the New York Post with the whole story http://www.nypost.com/seven/06172007/news/regionalnews/busted_gal_payoff_regionalnews_kathianne_boniello.htm .
So do you all think this woman is taking this law too far? Or do you think the cop had a right to arrest her for indecent exposure?

That is completely stupid! I think the woman should have gotten some jail time or something for that. I mean what about if we all just ran naked or something? And why would that woman walk around without a shirt in the first place anyway? Did she have nothing else better to do?

This is disgusting that a women can go topless and this had made legal...I know that you need to give women more preference but that doesn't mean that you can give right which will bring negative impact on people and i feel that women is misusing or taking advantage of laws.....Cop was right at his place i would say....as he is doing his duty....
