Since now-a-days both husband and wife go for earning, they cannot afford to have many children as baby sitting will be a problem and also leave problem. Hence in India many have only two children and very few end up with three children.

I agree it is very expensive to raise a child-I once had a woman ask me why I didn't have more children (since I longed for them) I told her it was too expensive & she said you get too much free when you're pregnant & I replied maybe,but nothings free after you have the baby.

I grew up as an only child and loved going to friend's homes where there were more children! I swore I would grow up and have a large family. I had two children with my first husband who took a wild hair and just walked out one day, never to be seen again! I eventually remarried and had two more children with my second husband. I love having 4 children and hope to have a house full of grandchildren one day!

Yes those are big families & very expensive to keep up with I'm sure-I know where you're coming from about accepting what ever God gives b/c everybody told me to abort my son b/c of my age but I was saying No,this may be my only chance to have a child & turns out that was my only chance to raise a child.

I was an only child. My dad has 2 more children but they came along when I was almost an adult,so although we're close it's not like a traditional sibling relationship. I always knew I wanted a large family. Up until I was an adult, I wanted 10 children. My ex (father of my oldest 2) was from a large family & he didn't agree. It seemed 2 would be it for me for many years. When I started dating my current partner, it was great to consider having more again. We had a son 5 years ago, and are expecting again now. Number 4 may prove to be my last now- I am older, and there is such a gap in my children's ages that I am also a grandmother now. But I am happy enough with having 4 :)

Hey, I have a family of four, Husband, Son, daughter and myself, I use to look after a little boy as well, but his mom no longer works so he can spend time with her... With my family I feel content, and dont feel the need to have more, I grew up with a BIG family anyway...

Yes I wish that I had more children. But at the time I was having my kids, I felt blessed that I had a girl and a boy and I really felt complete at the time. It wasn't until they got older that I wished we had more.
I came from a big family. I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
