When I was in the 5th Grade our history teacher on the first day asked the class.... "Why is it important to study history" he promised an A to whatever student can come up with the correct answer.
no matter how many clever answers were given, he always shook his head no. that is not why. It is now 30 years later and I often think of this question. I think I know many reasons why it is important. but, alas, they are the very reasons I asked of him so many years ago. I wish I could go to him now and beg of him to tell me the answer. I wonder if he did not have an answer but just liked us to jog our minds a bit.
so, I ask you....
Why is it important to record and learn history?

There will be no future without past.History is not only a country has.Goods also has history. There might be something u don't wanna give or sell to anyone coz it's been so long with u.It became precious coz the story behind.U as a person also have history.Just imagine if u lost ur memory.U'll spend ur time to find out who u are. We're living this day to face tomorrow by learning from yesterday.

I never did any good in history at school. I didnt see why i had to learn about things that were in the past. I didnt like my teacher much either. I am still not big on it, but i understand it is an important part of our lives to know what has happened in the past.
Best wishes to you, modestah
