Girl does not want to marry, if prefer career.

My friend daughter's marriage arranged. My friend informed me about the same few days back. Today morning my friend's daughter came and told me that she did not want to marry and wanted to continue the employment for another 3 or 4 years because she does not want to depend on her husband for her financial needs. When my friend informed me about the marriage, I congratulated him and gave a go ahead. Now his daughter did not want to marry and wanted me to convince his father not to arrange for the marriage. Since the situation is somewhat tricky what I should do in this case as my friend is very adamant and may not listen to me. Please advise.
