If you have bigger budget, try taking her to boracay. There are lots of packages available in the airlines here. If here in Manila, try bringing her at Greenhills, there are lots of branded over runs there, but be careful of thieves. Or go to Mall of Asia. Then pass by CCP, Luneta, then Intramuros, its a historical place and you can take pictures there.

I would take her to Luneta (not the grandstand). We took a stroll outside and it is still nice. The inside parks though still need maintenance. One of the inside parks that I recommend is the memorial to Jose Rizal. Intramuros is also nice and I've heard nice comments about Corregidor from my sister. These are if she appreciates history. If not, the beaches are always good. Go to Mindoro if you want something near or Subic (the Zoo in Subic is also said to be nice). If you can fly, Palawan, Boracay and Bohol are always good places to go to (Boracay especially for the nightlife). Good luck!

Sorry I forgot that you were looking at Metro Manila only. You can also try Greenbelt 3. Our cinemas are way nicer than the ones in the US (and cheaper too) so I think she might enjoy watching movies here. You can also try Tiendecitas in Pasig. They have a lot of Filipiniana goods and other stuff. It is organized by fashion, novelty, antiques, etc. They also have an open eating area where you can choose from a variety of Filipino food. A word of caution though is that it is an open area so it can get quite hot during the day. It's best to go afternoon to evening.

if you just want a stroll, how about U.P.. walk around the academic oval and then sit around the sunken garden. . . you can make her try the street food, like fishballs, isaw, etc. . .from there you can then go someplace else to party. .

Intramuros has been mentioned and I guess it was really first on the line, of course you would want her to learn some history facts about our beloved country so I suggest you go for it, visit Fort Santiago and show her where Rizal was imprisoned, and you might want to take her to Manila CAthedral and San Agustin church too. Other places I would suggest will be the Parks & wildlife, for nightlife..Malate, Libis, Makati and yes Baywalk would be good I guess.

i am not a resident of metro manila but i do visit the place frequently... intramuros, i believe is the best place to start your tour with your friend. this will at least give her a bird's eye view of what the philipppines is all about. you can take a leisurely tour either on foot or aboard an old-fashioned horse-drawn carriage (calesa). you can take her to quiapo also, then you may take her to luneta for a walk. late in the afternoon, you could watch the sky turn from blue to orange to pink to purple, with a sea to mirror it at the bay. you can stroll down the baywalk and join other people watching the sunset. after that you can go drive around PICC maybe... for dinner you could bring your friend to a filipino restaurant for a real treat. after dinner maybe you can go to the nightspots in malate. on your second day, you can bring her to another city within metro manila... say, makati. you can start with the ayala museum, ayala triangle, and ayala center. you can also go to greenbelt or rockwell. then you can go to the guadalupe ruins, saint peter and saint paul church. then maybe you could go to taguig. see the blue mosque, veterans museum, and see the whole of the global city. on your third day, you can bring her to paranaque maybe.. see baclaran, chinese temple, go to the casino, fresh foods market and ihaw-ihaw. then you can go to pasay.. go to nayong pilipino, mall of asia. then late in the afternoon, go to CCP and folk arts theater. catch a show if any... on your fourth day, you can go to quezon city. maybe tour her through araneta center and libis. i'm sorry but i don't know much of quezon city and the other places in manila. but i do hope my suggestions would help.

Depends really where you wanna go. If you are looking for fun, go to Makati. There are a lot of bars and hang outs for her to enjoy. The city of Makati is alive during the night. It is also very bright and colorful too. Music everywhere. Care to party and dance, The Embassy! A lot of people around, and the best thing is it is very safe in Makati. If you are looking to show her some of our countries history, then Intramuros is the place to be. The Walled City. You would also have a great view to the Ocean/Sea for that matter. Very peaceful and historic. Manila Cathedral and San Agustin Church are worth to watch and visit. That a ride within the "KALESA" around the walled city. I think there are still cannons left in Intramuros. Or you can just go to Ortigas, Eastwood or Metrowalk. =)

anywhere you bring her, as long as she enjoys your company, i think she will like it. well, of course, show the historical part of manila and bring her to the party places as well. try different things, like you may want to ride the ferry in pasig river.. but the sites there is not so good, so try strolling at rizal park, or baywalk or visit the churches in intramuros and ride the kalesa.
