someone answer my discussion and told me my discussion will be deleted!!!????

i posted a discussion about a month ago regarding a survey in mathematics....someone told me that having a survey here in mylot is prohibited....i really don't know regarding that rule and he told me that my discussion will be deleted... is it really true that mylot deletes discussions of users who post surveys? if in case its true, i don't what to commit the same mistake again..but if not...what could be the reason why this guy told me such info??
