PDA or laptop

Would you prefer a PDA or a laptop which is small enough to carry around? I couldn't decide what to get - so I got a laptop and kept my old mobile instrument. What the other advantages of getting a PDA besides excessing your mail.

even i would prefer a laptop... a pda just does not give you the same kind of flexibility and multimedia experience that a laptop can..
the ultra portable laptop from sony vaio is a step in this direction

don't remember exactly, but it is small enough to be carried in a handbag..
